HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Poppy Hand-Crafted Popcorn is saying goodbye to Birkdale Village, just months after opening.
The hand-crafted popcorn concept’s last day at the Huntersville complex is today. It opened there in October. Birkdale Village is off Sam Furr Road, near Interstate 77.
Poppy needs to focus on its core operations closer to home in Asheville, says Ginger Frank, CEO and founder.
Poppy’s production facility avoided physical damage from Hurricane Helene, but was unable to recover “crucial sales” during the busy fall season.
