Tesfaye Kassa, of Charlotte, won $100,000 from a $20 scratch-off ticket, officials with the N.C. Education Lottery announced on Monday.
Kassa bought the Instant Millions ticket from the Harris Teeter Fuel on Corning Place in northwest Charlotte.
After taxes, he took home $71,756.
Instant Millions debuted in May with four $2 million top prizes and eight $100,000 prizes. Three $2 million prizes and four $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
