17-year-old killed in east Charlotte shooting, police say

CHARLOTTE — Oscar Paisano-Perez, 17, was shot and killed in a shooting at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday along Eastcrest Drive, which is an apartment complex near Plaza Midwood, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

He died at the scene.

A neighbor told Channel 9 said she saw the alleged suspects right after the shooting.

“So I look out my bedroom window and I see two men, kind of over a body, and as the driver and the shooter (are) getting the car, he looked up at his surroundings and made eye contact with me,” said the woman who didn’t want to be identified. “I was not expecting that when I looked out the window, so I was scared that they ... I was going to be in danger because they saw me catch them in the act. So, I quickly closed my blinds, and I just had a moment, and I froze. I called my neighbor.”

Officers returned to the scene on Monday.

They haven’t released any information about suspects or arrests.
