Police identify victim in deadly west Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE — Police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting that happened near a west Charlotte apartment complex on Sunday.

MEDIC said that they were called out to the 3200 block of Nobles Ave. just before 1 p.m. for a reported shooting.

Officials said that they found one male victim with gunshot wounds. Police identified the victim as 18-year-old Jordyn Decedric Campbell.

MEDIC officials attempted life-saving measures but Campbell was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far, there is no word on what led to this shooting or who was killed.
