CHARLOTTE — A person has died following a shooting in northwest Charlotte Tuesday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
It happened just before 8 p.m. on the 5600 block of Brookshire Boulevard.
MEDIC said the victim died at the scene.
Channel 9 crews observed investigators processing a red car that had its windows shot out.
We also noticed officers inside the auto care center nearby.
“Because gunfire had happened, we’re obligated, and we have a desire to check to see if there are any other victims or if bullets had entered anywhere else in the structure that could have hurt someone. So after checking the business, there was no one else in there,” said Major Bret Balamucki.
CMPD is investigating this incident as a homicide.
