1 killed, 1 hurt in Wadesboro shooting hours after another was shot at Dollar General

WADESBORO, N.C. — One person was killed, and another was hurt in a double shooting Thursday morning in Wadesboro, police confirmed.

This happened less than 24 hours after another shooting at the Dollar General on East Caswell Street. That shooting happened at 4 p.m.

Thursday’s shooting was shortly after 8 a.m. on East Wade Street at Sheldon Circle.

All three victims who were injured were taken to area hospitals and their conditions have not been released.

Initially, police said two people were shot. However, only one person was shot. The other victim had injuries from shattered glass, police said.

There is also no word on any arrests or motives.

No additional details have been made available.
