GASTONIA, N.C. — One person was shot and killed Wednesday night near the Circle K on Cox Road in Gastonia, police said.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m.

The victim has been identified as a 16-year-old juvenile, according to the Gastonia Police Department.
Brandon Cunningham, 19, was arrested Wednesday night in connection with this case.
Cunningham has been charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond, according to police.
He had his first court appearance on Thursday.
