CHARLOTTE — Two people were shot in University City on Sunday evening, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 9:40 p.m., police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on Laysan Teal Lane off Mallard Glen Drive.
At the scene, officers found two people with gunshot wounds; one person had life-threatening injuries, and the other had non-life-threatening injuries.
Both victims were taken to the hospital by MEDIC.
CMPD says no arrests have been made; the investigation is open and ongoing.
