CHARLOTTE — Charlotte’s latest affordable-housing community has opened.

The Residences at Cedar Creek, a 200-unit mixed-income apartment community, was delivered last week. The $54 million project, developed by Cleveland-based NRP Group, is located at 7224 Forest Point Blvd. That’s just off Interstate 77 near Arrowood Road.

Jason Mochizuki, NRP Group vice president of development, said The Residences at Cedar Creek has one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units that are priced predominately for residents making 60% of the area median income (AMI). Twenty percent of the units are priced at 30% AMI. Another 10% of units are priced as workforce housing, or 80% AMI.
