CHARLOTTE — A crackdown on parked cars that block sidewalks just got the green light.
Charlotte City Council approved a rule change on Monday night in a 9-2 vote.
It makes clear that you cannot block a sidewalk with your car for any reason, which includes parking at the end of a driveway.
The city says blocked sidewalks can create violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
