FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Ukraine-based drone manufacturer is establishing its first North American manufacturing facility in North Carolina.
Skyeton, which makes unmanned aerial systems (UAS), announced July 27 it is establishing its U.S. headquarters in Fayetteville through a $3.4 million investment. The company will create 162 jobs and operate out of an existing 28,479-square-foot building at 223 Dedication Drive near Fayetteville Regional Airport.
Robert Van Geons, president and CEO of the Fayetteville Cumberland County Economic Development Corp., said in a statement that Cumberland County and Fayetteville are “quickly becoming a hub for strategic technologies and advanced manufacturing.
“Skyeton’s investment is another example of the innovation ecosystem our uniquely skilled workforce and collaborative partnerships have created,” Van Geons said.
