CHARLOTTE — Charlotte firefighters responded to a call about a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in northeast Charlotte on Sunday.

Crews responded to the fire at the 400 block of Michelle Linnea Drive around noon on Sunday.

Charlotte Fire Department announced that three units were destroyed in the fire, leaving ten people displaced.

“I already cried, got mad,” resident Caleb Hood said. “Now, I’m just trying to process.”

The fire was controlled in 37 minutes, officials said.

MEDIC also responded to the scene. There were no injuries to any civilians or firefighters, CFD said.

“Thank God for whoever knocked on my door and told me that it was flames outside because I probably would have been gone,” Tay Huey, another resident, said.

Officials say Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force is working to determine the cause of the fire.
