HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — One of Charlotte’s dominant grocers cut the ribbon this week on its newest location in the region.
The Food Lion store at 155 Crosstie Lane in Troutman anchors the Jacob’s Crossing shopping center being developed off Charlotte Highway, according to marketing materials from The Providence Group. That’s about 35 miles north of uptown Charlotte.
The 36,000-square-foot store is one of roughly 100 Food Lion supermarkets in the greater Charlotte area, according to last spring’s Grocery Industry Market Share report from Chain Store Guide.
