WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The former Chief of Staff for Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is recovering after being shot while leaving a church after a New Year’s Eve service.
According to a GoFundMe, Krishana Polite has nerve damage to her left side extremities.
It said Polite was leaving church in Winston-Salem on New Year’s Eve when she heard firecrackers and was shot in the neck.
The GoFundMe said Polite was likely the victim of celebratory gunfire.
