FORT MILL, S.C. — The Fort Mill School District said a crossing guard who was killed on the job knew about the risk of death, according to reports from the Rock Hill Herald.
Stanley Brucker died after being hit by a car in March of last year.
It happened near the entrance of Fort Mill Middle School and Fort Mill Elementary School.

According to the Herald, lawyers from the school district said Brucker’s actions caused him to be hit.
The district, however, did not elaborate, according to the Herald.
Brucker’s family filed the lawsuit claiming the area of the crash was unsafe.
The driver in this case has not been charged.
