Huntersville Fire shuts down slick road due to multiple crashes

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — First responders in Huntersville rescued someone pinned in a crashed vehicle Friday.

It was one of several crashes along Beatties Ford Road.

The serious wreck happened at about 5:25 p.m. on Beatties Ford Road near Sample Road, which was very slick due to the wintry precipitation.

One person had serious injuries, officials said.

There were more wrecks so Huntersville Fire shut down Beatties Ford Road between McCoy and Hambright roads.

The Huntersville Fire Department urged motorists to avoid the area and use caution while on the roads.
