The school said the man entered the school lobby around 11:15 a.m. and was stopped by the resource officer. The officer escorted him out of the building and off campus.
The principal says no students or teachers saw what happened and school operations continued as normal.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department remained on campus throughout the afternoon as a precaution.
At last check, a police report had not been filed in relation to the incident.
