Lancaster County first responders hold active shooter training at high school

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — Active shooter training was held Thursday at Indian Land High School, which included multiple agencies in Lancaster County.

The training did not involve live ammunition, officials said.

“We try to make it as realistic as we can,” Sheriff Barry Faile said. “We try to get these officers engaged and we have (simulated) guns in there. We are shooting at them and they’re shooting back at the bad guy. It’s pretty engaging.”

In the video at the top of this webpage, what the Lancaster County sheriff explained the biggest takeaway from the exercise.
