PINEVILLE, N.C. — A deadly officer-involved shooting at a shopping center is under investigation, according to the Pineville Police Department.
It occurred just before 4 p.m. Saturday on the 8700 block of Pineville Matthews Road.
Police said they received a disturbance call at Tavern 51.
Channel 9 crews confirmed the person connected to that disturbance was shot and killed by an officer.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate the incident, according to the department.
