CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Douglas Airport was a mess on Friday after a winter storm brought snow to our area.
According to FlightAware, more than 160 flights were delayed and more than 700 were canceled.
Channel 9′s Glenn Counts spoke with stranded passengers who had to spend their night in the airport or at a hotel.
“It’s nothing like a bed, but it feels quite nice; to be honest, we’re having a good time right now,” said passenger Jack Harris.
“You have got to find the positives out of the negatives in life, so it has been a tough day. I’m just glad I’m still alive and I’m able to go about my day,” said passenger Timi Adams.
Saturday is expected to be very busy at the airport, so travelers are encouraged to check with their airlines before arriving.
