NFL Draft Tracker: Panthers add talent on both sides of the ball

GREEN BAY, WI — The Carolina Panthers added talent on both sides of the ball at the NFL Draft this weekend.

The team first added Tetairoa McMillian with their 8th overall pick in the first and picked defensive players in back-to-back rounds.

A full recap of the Panthers’ moves is below:

1st Round, 8th Pick: The Panthers selected Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan with their first-round pick. McMillan averaged 16.1 yards per catch in his career in college. The Panthers have selected a wide receiver in the first round for the second year in a row after trading up for Xavier Legette in 2024.

2nd Round, 51st pick (via Denver): The Panthers selected Texas A&M edge Nic Scourton with the 51st pick after a trade with the Denver Broncos in the second round.

The trade is as follows:

Panthers get: 51st (Round 2), 85th (Round 3), 122nd (Round 4), 208th (Round 6).

Broncos get: 57th (Round 2), 74th (Round 3), 111th (Round 4), 230th (Round 7).

3rd Round, 77th pick (via New England): The Panthers selected Ole Miss edge Princely Umanmielen in the third round after trading up with the Patriots.

4th Round,111th pick (via Dallas): The first pick on Day 3 comes at 114 for the Panthers. The Panthers selected former Georgia running back Trevor Etienne.

4th round, 122nd pick (via Denver): The Panthers selected former Ohio State safety Lathan Ransom with their second pick of the 4th round.

5th Round, 140th pick (via New York Giants): The Panthers selected Florida defensive tackle Cam Jackson, a run stopper the team needs.

5th Round, 163rd pick (via Baltimore): The team selected former Notre Dame tight end Mitchel Evans for their last pick in the fifth round.

6th Round, 208th (via Denver): The team selected former Colorado receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. in this round with their last pick of the draft.
