CHARLOTTE — A man is in jail after being accused of intentionally setting his home on fire while out on bond.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested Milford Scott Monday night on charges of arson and violating a protective order.
The incident happened in west Charlotte on Remington Street.
The Charlotte Fire Department said no one was hurt.

A witness said he saw the smoke and called 911, but the moments leading up to the fire ended with someone in handcuffs.
“I heard a guy screaming in front of that house, then he comes out and screams,” James Delk said.
Delk said the man began breaking bottles of liquid and running into the house. At that point, Delk said he saw the smoke.
It took 30 firefighters less than 15 minutes to control the fire.
Channel 9 learned that Scott is also accused of breaking his neighbor’s front door in May, right next to where Monday’s arson took place.
CMPD says he told officers he saw the devil in the door.
