CHICAGO — At least six people are recovering from injuries after gunfire erupted overnight during a fight in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, authorities said.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times and WBBM-TV, the incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Monday on a South Justine Street sidewalk. Shots were fired during a dispute, wounding six men ranging in age from 18 to 44, Chicago police said.
One of the victims, a 39-year-old man who suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and abdomen, remains in serious condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center, the Sun-Times reported. The others were rushed to area hospitals in fair condition, according to the newspaper.
Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the incident, the Sun-Times reported.
