FORECAST:

  • There is a low chance of showers for the Charlotte area late Friday.
  • This is because of a cold front that will bring chilly temperatures in time for the weekend.
  • There is a winter weather advisory for the mountains until 1 p.m. Saturday.
  • Snow showers could bring up 3 to 4 inches of snow to the highest elevations.
  • The rest of our coverage area will stay dry, clear, and cold.
  • Morning lows will be in the 20s on Sunday morning with highs in the 40s.
  • We will stay dry until Christmas and Boxing Day when rain chances return.
  • The travel days after Christmas could be messy but we’ll keep a close eye on conditions.
