FORECAST:
- The big weather story on Saturday is the cold. We’re waking up to wind chills in the teens and 20s for the metro area, feeling as cold as -5 in the mountains. We stay breezy this morning with winds slowly settling through this afternoon. High temperatures are in the low 40s, but we’ll only feel like the 30s this afternoon. It comes with wall-to-wall sunshine.
- Our next storm system arrives tomorrow. A Winter Storm Watch is in place for the High Country starting at a.m. Sunday through 7 p.m. Monday. Some snow/sleet is possible as moisture starts to move in, but the biggest concern will be freezing rain as temperatures slowly warm later Sunday.
- The good news is, we’ll be dry this weekend.
- However, we will see a change Sunday night into Monday, with heavy rain for our area during the Monday morning commute.
