FORECAST:
- Hot and humid conditions will dominate the start of the new week, with temperatures climbing into the mid-to-upper 90s and heat index values reaching the triple digits.
- The Storm Prediction Center has placed the area under a Level 2, or slight, risk for severe weather, although storm coverage is expected to remain isolated.
- Any storms that develop Monday could bring damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall.
- Daily chances for thunderstorms will continue through the week, with a better chance of widespread rain expected Friday into Saturday.
- That rainfall could finally provide some relief, with highs dropping back into the 80s.
It sure is a scorcher out there this afternoon! 5 PM feel like temps are still in the triple digits! Make sure you are staying hydrated. Unfortunately, the heat will continue for tomorrow and much of the week as well!
