FORECAST: Muggy but pretty tolerable for Sunday with highs in the upper 80s

  • We’re tracking muggy but fairly pleasant weather for the rest of the weekend before we begin another torrid heat wave.
  • As we have mentioned, there are a couple of showers around but no major wash-outs.
  • Sunday will trend even drier and slightly warmer in the mid to upper 80s.
  • After that, we embark on a potentially dangerous heat wave.
  • Temperatures will reach the mid 90s by Tuesday with heat index values at or above 100.
  • There is no sign that this heat wave will break anytime soon.
  • Fall is still 24 days away!
