- Showers and storms are on the way for the Charlotte area, with potential impacts to high school football and other weekend events.
- Tonight will stay dry across Charlotte, although a few storms are possible in the mountains.
- By Friday afternoon, downpours are expected to develop in the foothills and spread into the Charlotte area. The unsettled weather will continue into Saturday morning, bringing more showers.
- Sunday looks quieter, but it will remain warm and quite muggy.
