Sports anchor Phil Orban joined the Channel 9 Eyewitness News Team in March of 2014. He comes from the award-winning sports team at WRIC in Richmond, Virginia. While there, Phil has covered sports at every level, from VCU’s Final Four run in 2011 to BCS bowl games to the return of double-A baseball to the city. A Maryland native, Phil graduated from the University of Maryland in 2005. He began his career as an associate producer for the nationally-syndicated George Michael Sports Machine.
