ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — North Carolina could be getting its second Buc-ee’s.
This time in Rocky Mount.
The city confirmed Thursday that the Texas-based convenience store chain is looking to develop nearly 34 acres near the I-95 and Halifax Road interchange.
Buc-ee’s has requested that the property be rezoned, and the city is reviewing the request.
The chain’s first North Carolina location is currently under construction in Mebane and is expected to open in Nov. 2027.
Buc-ee’s is known for its large number of gas pumps, food options, and large, clean restrooms.
