Meck County Health Department offers immunization appointments ahead of new school year

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Students across the Charlotte region will start heading back to class over the next few weeks, but before they do, parents will need to make sure their kids are up to date on their vaccines.

Vaccinations are required for children entering kindergarten, seventh grade and some 12th graders.

Students won’t be allowed to start school if they can’t prove they have received their required immunizations within 30 days of starting school.

The Mecklenburg County Health Department is offering immunization appointments at the following locations:

  • Southeast Public Health Department on Billingsley Road.
  • Northwest Health Department on Beatties Ford Road.
  • Valerie C. Woodard Community Resource Center on Freedom Drive.

To make an appointment, call 704-336-6500.
