  • We’ll continue to enjoy beautiful, warming fall weather through Friday before a transition to more unsettled weather this weekend.
  • Tonight will be another cool one with clear skies. Temperatures will fall back into the 40s and 50s Thursday morning before warming into the low and mid-80s Thursday and Friday afternoon.
  • Clouds will begin building Friday and Saturday ahead of the remnants of Isaias. The storm is expected to make landfall as a hurricane along the Gulf Coast late Friday.
  • The center of the storm will stay well to our west this weekend, but tropical moisture from the system is expected to reach the Carolinas from late Saturday through early Monday.
  • Showers and thunderstorms will be the main concerns, along with a low risk for a brief tornado. The mountains have the best chance of seeing locally heavy rain.
  • It’s still too early to provide specific rainfall totals, as computer models remain split on the storm’s track and impacts. Forecast confidence should improve over the next few days.
