- Clouds have arrived ahead of the rain this weekend.
- Temps warm to the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.
- We remain dry during the daylight hours today, but light rain starts to push in by late evening.
- The steady and heavy downpours come in by tomorrow afternoon and could add up to about 1-1.5” in the metro (higher amounts west toward the mountains.)
- Minor flooding is possible out west where they see more rain. Otherwise, it’s a very beneficial rain that’s just getting in the way of outdoor plans.
- The other thing to watch out for this weekend is a low tornado threat that may materialize Sunday afternoon.
- The main rain chances will be ending on Sunday, but as we start to clear up, instability grows. This could combine with plenty of wind shear overhead from the remnants of the hurricane to produce a few brief weak tornadoes.
