CHARLOTTE — ABOVE: The latest forecast update from Severe Weather Center 9. To stay on top of changing weather conditions, be sure to download our free WSOC-TV weather app.
- As expected, we have a chilly start to the day, but we will see lots of sunshine!
- Frost/Freeze Alerts continue in the mountains and northern foothills through 9 a.m. Sunday.
- Our weather will be quiet, dry, and uneventful most of the upcoming week, with a slow warming trend back to seasonable readings by mid-week.
- Weather systems have nearly ground to a halt across the country due to the combination of strengthening ocean storms off the east and west coasts.
- You may begin seeing pictures or hearing about high surf, coastal flooding along the mid-Atlantic coast/OBX, especially early in the week.
- That would be from the ocean storm offshore, which will NOT affect us locally.
